The Prince, the Princess and Baby Kari

- a story by a 9 year old from Liberty Children’s Home.

It was a cold and snowy night.  The Princess Mama and Prince Daddy and Baby Kari were eating ice cream and drinking coke.

Baby Kari was a rude baby she kept eating Princess Mama’s lipstick.  Princess Mama lasher her until she cried.  Baby Kari kept crying so Princes Mama locked her in her room.

The next day was her birthday.  Baby Kari was very unhappy so she climbed out her window.  She ran through the snow to Auntie Watermelon.

Auntie Watermelon asked ‘ Why are you here Baby Kari?’  Baby Kari lied and told her ‘Because Princess Mama is trying to kill me!’  Auntie Watermelon said:  ‘Really I am going to ask Princess Mama.’

Auntie Watermelon and Princess Mama talked for a long time.  Auntie Watermelon got very mad at Baby Kari because she had lied.  So Baby Kari ran away again and Princess Mama and Auntie Watermelon chased her.

Princess Mama and Auntie Watermelon were very mad so they went and told Prince Daddy and he became very mad.  That scared Baby so she ran away again. When the Prince Daddy caught her he lashed her upon her back.

Princess Mama wopped her upon her mouth because she lied to her.

Auntie Watermelon was very vexed so she threw Baby Kari into her room.  She told her ‘This is for lying and running from your Mama, your Daddy and me! You will stay in your room until you apologize to your Mama, your Daddy, me and God.’

She apologized to Prince Daddy for lying and running away.

Baby Kari apologized to Princess Mama for eating her lipstick, lying and running away.

She apologized to Auntie Watermelon for lying to her and running away from her.  Auntie Watermelon told her ‘Thank you.’

Baby Kari then got on her knees and asked God and Jesus to forgive her for being such a bad child.

Baby Kari Lived Happily ever after because when she grew up she moved far, far away.
